A New Era of Smarter Airline Operations Begins

Article by Kris Vansteenkiste – 07 May 2024 – www.flyfrequency.com

We’re excited to announce the official launch of the Frequency Demonstration Project in partnership with the European Space Agency (ESA) through the ARTES programme.

This collaboration marks a major milestone in our mission to revolutionize how airline teams communicate, collaborate, and manage disruption—across every flight, every day.

One Platform. One Source of Truth.

At the core of Frequency is a simple idea: every flight deserves its own digital space—where pilots, operations control, turnaround coordinators, and maintenance crews can connect instantly, with clarity and confidence.

No silos. No relays. No waiting.

With Frequency, flight groups are created automatically, populated with real-time data and the right people based on their roles. Updates—like slot changes, delays, or stand switches—trigger instant notifications. Teams solve problems as they happen, not after.

Built to Scale. Designed to Empower.

Thanks to ESA’s support, we’re bringing this capability to the next level.

The Frequency platform is built on modern, cloud-native architecture—deployed on AWS, with real-time push via SMS, in-app, and browser notifications. It integrates secure SOAP and AMQP data exchange models, making it ready to adapt to any aviation data provider.

From the tarmac to the flight deck to the operations center, Frequency empowers every team to make faster, better decisions—backed by reliable, structured, and live operational data.

What’s Happening Now

  • Final development of new capabilities based on real-world ops requirements
  • Deployment of our role-based interface across desktop, iOS, and Android
  • Activation of dynamic flight group creation for scheduled flights
  • Kickoff of pre-operational trials under the ESA ARTES Demonstration framework

These trials will evaluate Frequency in live operational environments, validating performance, scalability, and measurable gains in turnaround efficiency and team communication.

Shaping the Future of Airline Collaboration

This project is more than a technology rollout—it’s the beginning of a smarter, faster, and more connected way to run airline operations. With ESA’s support and our forward-thinking development team, Frequency is setting a new standard for how flights are managed—digitally, intelligently, and in real time.

We’re proud to be working with ESA to build a future where airline teams are always in sync, no matter the challenge.
